"Clatts" as he likes to be called, didn't even give us a free kick. The ball went out for a goal kick and he made them retake it. He didn't blow his whistle to stop the shoving before the kick was taken either I don't think.

Thought it used to be a 4th match for a FLIPPANT appeal.

What's happening with Fellaini or is he going to escape?
That was a much worse offence.

Fellaini looks like he stinks.

Re: Martin Keown blasts Reid's reaction to elbow (Schweinsteiger charged)
And Fellaini still not charged?

A bit of penalty-area jostling rated as worse than a deliberate attempt to put a player out?

The FA must have had a mental image of Schweinsteiger dressed like that Nazi-era German soldier doll as he pushed over Reid...

You raise a very important point.

It's just sheer incompetence. How this guy is still reffing at the top level is beyond me. Not only incompetent but an arrogant, egotistical snide too.

http://www.teamtalk.com/news/ref-review-man-utd-lucky-chelsea-liverpool-hard-done-by

I have been following the ref review on Temtalk from the start of the season & you can see that we are 2nd last in the league in terms of getting favourable decisions - in fact Vardy's studs up challenge on Adrian wasn't even considered by this panel so our record should actually be as bad as Bournemouth's.
Our one favourable decision was the penalty against Bournemouth according to these guys.

When you see how well Leicester are doing in terms of ref decisions is it any wonder they are as high in the league as they are?

Has Clangerberg been charged with incompetence?

Re: Martin Keown blasts Reid's reaction to elbow (Schweinsteiger charged)
Is it too cynical to say that if had been a Man U player the crowd on the side would have gone up and the ref would have magically seen the foot going over the ball.

What's the fucking point of changing him all that happens is the teams them cunts play benefit out our expensive, we should have been playing against 10 for an hour or so. Fucking pathetic refereeing, that Belgium cunt should have been off too

Re: Martin Keown blasts Reid's reaction to elbow (Schweinsteiger charged)
Just seen the Fellaini one (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3h3tnq) , and it's WAY worse than the German's. As others have mentioned, that sort of jostling goes on at every set piece, although not to quite that extent. He should still have been sent off, and will certainly get a retrospective ban, but Fellaini's was a targeted assault. Not the first time he's done Tomkins either I understand.

As Sven said, you can see him just break his stride long enough to arrive after Tomkins collects the ball. There's absolutely no way he's trying to get the ball....you'd go in with your toe if that was the case, not your studs.

Re: Martin Keown blasts Reid's reaction to elbow (Schweinsteiger charged)
Has Mr Clattenberg been asked how he didn't see the incident 3 yds in front of him but yet immediately blew his whistle and motioned the players over?
Perhaps he can talk us through it once he has his story straight.

Fellaini's was the classic football situation where a player instead of making a 50/50 challenge hangs back slightly so he can do the opposition player instead. A deliberate attempt to break Tomkins leg.

Re: Martin Keown blasts Reid's reaction to elbow (Schweinsteiger charged)
All very good that he's been charged but it gives us nothing does it. It's a bonus for Man Utd's next three opponents.

Sir Alf ~ I'm convinced there's a special agenda for the "big clubs"

When you think back to that incident involving Carroll & Flores (vs Swansea) when Carroll saw red for accidently catching Flores with his hand, you realise our players have to do very little wrong to be given red cards, where players at the "big clubs" are given much more leniance

Exactly right Jack. But u do start to wonder about the accusations of bias for the big clubs and their financial clout and influence. I will have to check the footage again but I though Clattenburg was right in front of Reid and the Jerry when he elbowed him?

Fellani's was more difficult to see but the more sinister.
